I spent this afternoon browsing the Internet for anything connected to PLR products and boy is there a lot of garbage out there.  My initial search was simply for “PLR” and returned almost THREE MILLION possible returns! I did also take a bit of time and searched a bit more in depth (Video PLR returned only 80,200) and was able to narrow my selections into various niches that I might be interested in pursuing. Selections were available for free downloads, membership sites, purchase various sized packets of articles and more than a few on how to package and resell your PLR products to regain some of your hard spent money. I say “spent” rather than earned due to the fact that I am broke and am very selective what I punch the “Buy It Now” button for. If I do not have a current need I am hesitant to purchase. My wife wants to know why I did not practice this bit of frugality prior to loading a 200 gb hard drive full of products. And the sad fact is that for many of these downloads I do not know the purchase reason was. I do not even recognize most of them without unzipping each file and checking them out. This overloaded hard drive is what sent me looking for today.

As I opened up search results to check them out I was always greeted with the statement that I could make myself rich in two or three minutes if I only put this or that practice into use. I could use PLR as bonuses for my main product, thus adding perceived value to my sales package. I could just add two or three PLR packets together and market them back into the Internet Marketing world. Why not, isn’t that how I ended up with them in the first place?? More… »

While back I stuck a short post in here regarding Adsense Video units tool that we now have at our disposal. Seems like I was a bit picky and should have added in Adsense for Feeds with a bit of commentary. Not sure why me, not sure if I am really fond of Adsense for Feeds but cannot argue with the future of technology. Maybe I can tickle your fancy just enough you will research for your own needs and clean up with $$$$$$$ with feeds. Actually feeds is a new Adsense program having gone public only about the middle of last August. So those quick on the learning curve will surely be ahead of the income game.

While a new aspect of the Adsense program Google Adsense for Feeds is in no way less effective than the rest of Google ads. The action is to place the ads of the advertiser on feeds that are relevant. Probably will always be a secret just how Google determines the relevancy of ads for each website (fee) but they are good at it and we probably should just learn our side of the equation and let them be! As usual feed ads are good for the advertiser as they get their ads placed in areas which should attract the type of visitor they desire for their product/service. This effectively targets their ads to those people who are really interested in information regarding the products or services. If you have taken suggestions from the many informative PLR sites around the web you have already reviewed and categorized ALL of the products you have laying around taking up non productive space in your computer. If you haven’t then maybe you have a chore in your immediate future? While it is a great thing to have hundreds of informative products within your daily reach, if you do not use them to produce some sort of income then you have a lot of PLR real estate getting stale.

Your categorizing safari quite probably located at least one group you have a special interest in. This is your gold-mine. Not only do you have an interest and some knowledge in the chosen niche you have a plethora of additional information held in your PLR library. Time to get to work!! A great many websites are designed and launched in order to put the owners dreams out there for millions to see.  Whether it is based on the breed of their dog or the type of muscle car they own the drive that leads them to build the site is they want to be noticed.  This is doubly true for someone pursuing income from Internet Marketing.  Again the desire NEED to be noticed is the force behind what they put on the internet.  If they cannot initially be noticed then they stand zilch of a  chance of having return customers.  And this leads to a big zero on the bottom line at the end of the month.  And just what is it that attracts visitors, whether they be first time or returning for the tenth time, to your website.  Here we go again…Content! I think it was the Lone Ranger who used to ride off into the sunset to the audio of “return once again to the thrilling days of Yester Year!” Well to many of us Yester Year was the first month or two that we began seeking out information on Private Label Rights and just what it consisted of. And a candy store it was. Seemed that everyday your were offered dozens of new and exciting products and all you had to do was give up your first name and a valid email address. Just because we were new to the game didn’t mean that we were not smart enough to get a secondary email for all of this, right? The internet is a cornucopia of information.  When you take the leap into marketing you will constantly be researching for content in your niche.  And of course one of the easy methods to obtain needed information is by using Private Label Rights products.  Just a few taps on your keyboard will open up seemingly endless pages on any niche you wish to explore.  Words, ideas, pre-written articles and complete e-books are just a few examples of what is available for your use.  It is possible that this stream of information can overwhelm you when you begin writing and this is where is can become dangerous.  You do not want to copy stuff, for if you do you can easily become tagged as being a plagiarist.  And this is NOT the type of reputation you wish to develop on the internet.  Plagiarism can easily become synonomous with “no money” if your clients discover you are cheating them with words.

This is not to say that PLR should not be used.  There probably is no greater source of competent information for your needs. The trick is to make it yours, not the exact copy of anothers works.  Gee whiz, this means you will need to take a little time and put your own spin on things.  This should not be a problem.  If you have the mental capabilities to OBTAIN the information you should also be able to reword the information.

So if you have to rework everything into your own words then why bother with PLR at all. After all you could just go out and research a niche from scratch and get the same results, right? Yep. However the postive side of PLR is the availability. If you acquire a library of pertinent PLR information then you should never never be saddled with writers block! When you know what you need to write on then just trip on over to your library and choose your material. A few minutes to glean through what you come up with and then you can let your fingers do the walking and put your own brand on any material.

So, your actual problem may be the initial acquisition of great PLR material. Sorry to say again, that time is necessary to put some of this together. But a few hours of downloading and you have enough to carry you through for many projects.

If you want to really generate a lot of profit, consistently, by marketing PLR products it all starts with this…

You need to know how to choose the right products.

See, there are thousands of products available you can buy and resell, or you can create your own. Either way, products you choose to market MUST:

1) Be unique - don’t be tempted to simply buy and resell “me too” products because everything travels fast on the Internet and products become oversold quickly. Usually sales will be disappointing because most prospects have already seen the offer.

But there’s an even BIGGER potential problem…

Too many “me too” old rehashed offers and your prospects will become less responsive, ignore your offers, and stop opening your emails. Ouch!

Either rename and edit the products, package a group of products into a new offering, or add content (audio version, etc), but do SOMETHING to make it different and unique.

2) Be relevant - products you market need to be valuable and desirable to your prospects. A tremendous product on car buying isn’t going to break the bank if your market is dog owners. You may make some sales, but not close to what you could make with a guide for dog owners.

You also run a big RISK by doing that…

At first it may seem like no big deal–so sales are low, but at least you pocket some cash, right? Well the big risk is that by offering products unrelated to your niche you will confuse prospects about what value you offer them. And confused prospects will turn to whoever they feel can help with their needs–your competitors!

3) Be quality - take the time to evaluate products before you market. There is a lot of crap out there and nothing kills your reputation faster than pushing products with a strong sales pitch that don’t deliver. You may need to rework some products, and you may even need to scrap some that you thought would be good. In the long run, it’s worth it. Focus on delivering value to your prospects, and they will become loyal customers.

That’s it! Follow those 3 rules when choosing PLR products and you’re on your way to real success that will stand up to market changes and competition.
